The 2017 Postdoctoral Preparation Institute will be held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center located at 201 Waterfront Street, National Harbor, MD  20745.

NOTE:  Reservations Cutoff Date for the special room rate is July 12, 2017.  After July 12, 2017, the special 2017 PPI group room rate and reserved room block will no longer be available.

FASEB MARC Program will secure hotel accommodations for FASEB MARC all travel award recipients following the review and approval of the travel award applications.

Driving directions from DCA: Follow signs to George Washington Parkway South to Alexandria.  Veer right at the sign to Slaters Lane, make a right at the traffic light.  Follow signs to US Route 1 and merge onto US-1.  Follow signs to I-95 (Maryland).  Veer right at signs toward I-95.  Veer left toward I-95 and merge onto I-96 North/I-495-East (Capital Beltway).  Cross the Woodrow Wilson Bridge toward Maryland.  Take exit 2A toward National Harbor.  Turn right on Waterfront street.  The resort is on the right.

Driving directions from IAD:  Follow Airport Exit signs.  Take VA-267 East toward Washington and follow signs to I-495 South toward Richmond/Alexandria.  Take I-495 South (Capital Beltway - Outer Loop) toward Richmond/Alexandria. Continue on Capital Beltway and merge with I-495 with I;495 East/I-95 North toward Baltimore.  Stay to the right, following signs for Local Traffic to National Harbor.  Cross the Woodrow Wilson Bridge toward Maryland.  Take Exit 2A toward National Harbor.  Turn right onto Waterfront Street.  The resort is on the right.

2017 PPI TRAVEL AWARDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ELIGIBLE POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWS/APPLICANTS

FASEB MARC Program is offering 2016 PPI Travel Awards to help support the participation of eligible postdoctoral fellows.  Each travel award helps to defray expenses up to a maximum of $1,250 and must be applied to related expenses including travel (air and ground transportation), lodging at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center (2 nights maximum), and per diem allowance.   Applicants must be USA citizens or Legal Permanent Residents of the USA, and must also meet other eligibility requirements. FASEB MARC will prepay room/tax lodging expenses for all travel award recipients.  (See application form located under the REGISTER tab for more details.)

The FASEB MARC Program is funded by a T36 training grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, National Institutes of Health (T36-GM-0008637-21); therefore, funding is restricted to USA Citizens or Permanent Residents of the USA.
