TWD 2019 TRAVEL AWARDS FOR NIGMS TWD-FUNDED
T32 PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS/PROGRAM DIRECTORS

ABOUT THE NIGMS TWD-FUNDED T32 PROGRAM DIRECTORS TRAVEL AWARDS:  Apply early!  A limited number ot TWD 2019 Travel Awards are available to help support the participation of Principal Investigators/Program Directors of active NIGMS TWD-undedd T32 grant projects.  Each travel award covers eligible expenses up to a maximum of $1,500 to defray the cost of participation in the 2019 TWD Program Directors' Meeting.

The award must be applied to related expenses including travel (air and ground transportation,) lodging at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center (the designated TWD 2019 meeting venue,) TWD 2019 meeting registration ($225.00.)  Automobile rental expenses are not eligible for travel award reimbursement.

Travel awards will be processed as reimbursements to the award recipients after the meeting.  Receipts will be required in order to receive reimbursement.  

Travel awards are limited to a maximum of three (3) NIGMS TWD-funded T32 Principal Investigators/Program Directors per university/institution.

Rockville is a city and the county seat of Montgomery County, Maryland, USA.  Rockville is part of the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area.  The 2010 census tabulated Rockville's population at 61,209, making it the tenth largest city in Maryland.  Rockville is the third largest location in Montgomery, after Silver Spring and Germantown.

Rockville, along with neighboring Gaithersburg and Bethesda, is at the core of the Interstate 270 Technology Corridor which is home to numerous software and biotechnology companies as well as several federal government institutions.  The city also has several upscale regional shopping centers and is one of the major retail hubs in Montgomery County.
